Waddles - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Waddles is a mobile application developed by INVENTIVE OTTERS S.R.L. ("we", "us", "our") and operated from CAL. DOROBANTILOR NR.25 ET.1 AP.33, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, stored, and the rights you have as a user.

2. Information We Collect

• Firebase Anonymous UID: Upon first use, an anonymous User ID is generated through Firebase Authentication. No personal or directly identifiable data is collected at account creation.
• Local Device Data: Only metadata regarding blocked apps (not usage patterns, app activity, or personal data) is stored locally on your device. This is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party.
• Crash & Diagnostic Data: Waddles uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous diagnostic and crash data to improve app reliability.
• Cosmetic Shop Data: Waddles fetches daily cosmetic shop info via Firebase Firestore; this does not contain any personal data or user tracking.
• Payment Data: Managed by RevenueCat. We do not directly store or process payment details (credit card information, etc.). Payments are processed by the App Store/Google Play or RevenueCat per their privacy policies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Enable authentication and in-game progress via anonymous User ID.
• Allow app functionality (screen time management, app blocking, cosmetic rewards, etc.).
• Monitor and resolve crashes and bugs.
• Process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Display ads (subject to your platform privacy settings and consents).

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Waddles does not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except as required to provide core functionality (Firebase, RevenueCat, Ad providers) or as legally required. All third-party providers are required to handle your data per applicable data protection regulations (such as GDPR).

5. Children’s Privacy

Waddles is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have the information deleted.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and secure authentication through Firebase. Your data is protected using technical and organizational measures designed to safeguard it from unauthorised access or disclosure.

7. Data Retention

We retain only non-personal, anonymous records necessary for app functionality. You may request account and data deletion at any time via the support email or in-app "Contact Us". Following such a request, all associated app data and identifiers will be deleted as soon as reasonably practicable.

8. Your Data Rights

• Access: You may request to access the data we hold about you by contacting support.
• Correction: You may correct or update information (where relevant) via app settings or support email.
• Deletion: You may request deletion at any time via the app or support email.
• Objections: You may object to certain data processing activities by contacting support.

9. International Data Transfers

Some data may be processed or stored by third parties (Firebase, RevenueCat) on servers located outside Romania. We and our partners comply with the GDPR or relevant data protection laws when applicable.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. Updates will be posted in-app or on our website. The latest version will always be available with a clear effective date.
